Senior Auditor

Job Purpose

Leads on the delivery of a programme of audits to provide GoCompare with assurance over partner performance including accuracy of sales reporting, contractual and regulatory compliance and quality of customer experience

 

Key Experience & Skills

  • Significant experience of undertaking audits including experience of the planning, fieldwork and reporting phases
  • Good understanding of auditing standards and experience in documenting audit work in accordance with these standards
  • High attention to detail and keen analytical ability
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office
  • Experience of interaction with both external and internal stakeholders, both verbal and written

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Leads individual audit assignments in accordance with the agreed methodology within the agreed timescales
  • Manages all aspects of the stakeholder relationship (external partners and internal stakeholders)
  • Identifies weaknesses in controls and/or instances of non-compliance and proposes realistic and proportionate solutions and facilitates closure of actions where required
  • Communicates positive and negative audit findings to external partners and internal stakeholders, both verbally at de-brief meetings and formally by the drafting of written audit reports
  • Supports the Head of Assurance in the continual improvement of the audit program by identifying and implementing process enhancements
  • Supports the Head of Assurance on any relevant projects, ad-hoc assignments and working with other business areas as necessary
  • Oversees the quality and delivery of the work of more junior team members and provides on-the-job coaching, mentoring and training

 

Key Interfaces

  • Acts as the main point of contact between the company assurance team and audit stakeholders, including external partner contacts. Liaison and management of relationship before, during and after audits
  • Consults with key staff in various other key departments including Commercial, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Insight and Customer Services. Liaison and management of relationship before, during and after audits
